Why do patients come to see us?
Which patients would benefit from Vision Therapy?
With Vision Therapy we are enhancing the visual process, not mending something broken. In that way Vision Therapy is a path that every patient could take.
What is the best prescription of lenses for the patient now, to help them achieve their potential?
These, and many other questions, form the basis of the entire six-part course, which will be taught from a patient-based perspective.
The purpose of the visual process is to direct action, and the visual process becomes visible through the behavior of the individual.
Aspects of Behavioral Philosophy will be covered, and how it informs every part of our understanding of our patients, and, also, the benefits of low plus lenses.
There will be discussions on the Skeffington’s Four Circle Diagram, and how it empowers us to view the visual process of every patient.
We begin the examination of the patient with the chair tests and probes, including history.
Activities
During this section we shall be demonstrating attribute blocks, particularly for pattern matching, and the use of lenses and activities to understand volume of space.
