Cycle of Changes in the Analytical

Dr. Paul Harris talks about the cycle of how the findings from the analytical change over time as the person makes adaptation. Changes begin at near and spread to distance that they follow an understood sequence over time. By understanding this sequence, you will recognize where the person is as you look over the data you have collected in your analytical.

Optimizing Your Refraction Routine

Dr. Harris shot this video with a group of interested third year students from SCO to discuss considerations in performing refraction and how to be efficient in doing so. Our patients all have a limited amount of attention they can give to working with us to derive the ranges of possible lenses they can accept. By using that limited resource effectively and efficiently it raises the probability of having more confidence in our findings.

Clinical Use of the Space Board

Drs. Harris and Cisarik demonstrate the use of the space board to gain insight into how the person is seeing and organizing their space world.

This video was done in August of 2022 on Dr. Harris’ concepts of refractive engineering. This is the idea that how you prescribe today can help the person make changes to their own refraction over time.
